suggest adding Random Sorting Option or Wishlist Exploration Queue to the Steam Wishlist
Dear Steam Support Team,
I am writing to propose a feature improvement for the Steam Wishlist, which I believe would enhance the user experience for many players with large wishlists like mine.
My wishlist now includes over 1500 games, and I frequently want to explore these titles—whether to pick my next purchase or rediscover old additions. However, the current limited sorting options ("Recently Added," "Earliest Added," price-based, and "Release Date") mean games added in the middle of my list are rarely seen, as I only easily access the newest or oldest entries.
This is frustrating, as those "middle" games once caught my interest, and I don’t want to overlook them simply because they’re buried.
To address this problem, I would like to suggest adding either of the following two features to the Steam Wishlist, whichever is more feasible from a technical standpoint:
1. Random Sorting Option: Introduce a "Random" sorting filter alongside the existing options. With a single click, users could shuffle their entire wishlist into a random order, allowing for unexpected discoveries. This feature would be incredibly simple to use and would immediately solve the issue of overlooked games.

2. Wishlist Exploration Queue: Create an "Explore Wishlist" function that generates a personalized queue of games from the user’s wishlist, similar to the existing "Discovery Queue" but tailored to the titles they have already saved. The queue could either be random or use a lightweight algorithm to ensure a mix of old and new wishlist entries, guiding users through their list without requiring manual scrolling.

Both features would bring significant value to Steam users. For players with large wishlists, they would turn the act of browsing into a more engaging and efficient experience, helping us make better use of the content we have curated. Additionally, this improvement could potentially boost sales for developers, as more wishlist games would be brought to users’ attention—especially during promotional events like the Steam Summer or Winter Sales.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Best regards,
