Smith has overtaken the Matrix. There is no need to fight him.
As everyone of you may know, wallhackers have flooded CS2 servers. And though there is an option to "report" on them, the sheriff's out of town right now.

There is a simple solution to this problem though.

Should we have a simple "send to blacklist" button for all player in the after-match menu, in a short period of time all the wallhackers will find themselves fighting each other, while sane players will simply avoid playing with them again.

Steam developers, I beg you, give us please an option to "block" a person for future engagements. We will do your job for you and to the benefit each of us fair players!

"simple" lol, in 0 seconds that would be abused to send legit players to said blacklist.

Bro, I'm talking about a personalized blacklists - e.g. my own blacklist, you own blacklist etc. Eachone of the steam members should have their own blacklist.
If anyone places me to his blacklist, I don't care so far there are lots of other potentially more sane people there i can play with.
Unfortunately, I agree with your analogy of Agent Smith. Smiths are corrupting the playersphere by reproducing like a virus due to the 'quit or join them' virality of encountering unpunished cheaters.

But your blacklist option won't work because it will be abused.

If history has taught us anything, is bad actors win when the functions for punitive meaures are left to the community at large.

Thanks for the feedback!

Can you, plz, describe, how do you exactly see it'll be abused?

Because I can't imagine that. The only way I see it could be abused is in case it turns out I'll somehow appear in each of the steam players' personal blacklist. And only then I will find myself not being able to play with anybody on the steam. Which is kind of very unlikely, if possible at all, over an average lifeline)

And to counter such an outcome, the blacklist may be designed in a way that it doesn't completely block me out from engaging with a person who added me to his/her presonal blocklist, just making it less likely/less preferable to engage with exactly him, compared to players who haven't put me to their personal b;lacklists yet. And in that case if I somehow appear in each of the steam community's blacklist, the moment I succeed such an "achievement" I will just make a round-trip as a blocked person and may become eligible to fall in a team with players, who added me to their blacklist years ago, again.

This can't work, because of the limited amount of servers.

Let VAC catch and ban people, there's a reason why there's so many threads in that section of people that were correctly caught.

If you've played competitively in the last few years, you'd know that "so many" you just stated is not nearly enough.

Looks to me like you haven't touched the game in a while? Maybe defer a little to those of us who still play.

Just playing the transparency card.

You can defer to others having more recent experience than you on something.

It's a sign of intelligence to understand there are people more knowledgable than self.
