Custom recomendations upgrade
Steam's recommendations constantly repeat the same games. I understand that the platform should highlight new releases for users. However, Steam's algorithms place too much emphasis on new and trending titles.

For example, there are many games that fit the genre I'm looking for, released both recently and 10-20 years ago. But my recommendations only show new releases. Once I've browsed all the new releases in a genre, I start getting suggestions for new games in other genres instead of older titles.

This sometimes leads to absurd situations:

In "Favorites," you're offered: Valheim, Once Human, Cult of the Lamb, Stalcraft, Peak, Pacific Drive, Palworld, Клеть, etc. Moving on to "Adventure," you get: Duckov, Valheim, Once Human, Memesis, Sons of the Forest, Peak, Raft, Escape the backrooms, Клеть, etc. Going further to "Story-rich," you find: Mimesis, Duckov, Palworld, Peak, Клеть.

I might have missed this feature, but I would like to see categories not only showcasing current trends but also recommending older games that received high ratings 5-10 years ago (I'm sure this is quite feasible), rather than repeating the same suggestions across different genres. Of course, if a game appears both in "Adventure" and "Story-rich," it contains elements of both, but that doesn't mean a user who skipped it in the "Adventure" category will decide to buy it when seeing it in "Survival."

Perhaps it's worth trying to sell not only new releases but also some older, noteworthy titles?

You might want to try the interactive recommender instead:
Store -> Recommendations -> Interactive Recommender

Why is this feature not more prominent? I would like to see recommendations for older games on the main screen instead of looking at the same current trends.
