Regarding the chat function
Does Steam have a feature that allows me to not receive chat messages from strangers? I keep getting pornographic advertisements from strangers. Blocking them one by one is too inefficient. I want to disable all chat messages from strangers.

Yeah, don't add them. Problem solved. The only way people can send you messages is if you add them to your friends list.

You should never add random people, that's how you get malicious messages like this.

You can only get steam chat message from a random, if your in the same chat group as them, it's similar just like discord.

Also messages on steam chat automatically get deleted every 14 days.

Yeah, people sometimes can DM you anyway, no matter if you add them or not. I've been complaining about this for years.

Like I said they can DM you if your in same chat group as them, doesn't mean need to friend them.
