Steam Machine Front Plate.

The front plate of the new Steam Machine will be swapable. Steam should get with https://makerworld.com/ and https://www.printables.com/ to start contests for custom front plates. let the community go crazy with customization.

why stop at the front plate, just 3d print your own steam machine and have steam just sell the pieces and assemble them yourself. could cut back on tons of manufacturing cost.

Valve is letting anyone make and sell them.

They'll even release the CAD files.

Yes, but there is a difference between just posting the files and promoting with a contest. One will gain more traction while one is mostly unknown.

I wasn't thinking of getting the Steam Machine but after seeing that, I'm seriously thinking about getting one and having it just sit on my PC case.

I wasn't thinking of getting the Steam Machine but after seeing that, I'm seriously thinking about getting one and having it just sit on my PC case.

I'm wondering if I can just buy the empty case. Looks really nice.
