Just use whatever blog is already available. I mean, Steam does not NEED to be a "do it all" software.

Steam is growing more and more and becoming a true multimedia hub; your comment is not aligns with the market trend of this platform.

I think you can post in your own comment section within your profile page, and use that as your blog.

post your own daily messages, you could provide your own time stamp on the comment, this might be what you are after.
