Yes, I'm aware of that. Since I'm the one who did it lol. So why do we get this email? It seems like a leftover tech demo feature that they forgot to remove. And email preferences don't allow turning these off. I'd like to suggest giving us control over whether or not we get emailed every time we award a comment. For me it's just not useful at all.

it has one use: If you didn't do it it's likely your account is compromised.

On the email "Checkout the comment" at the bottom gives a link.
If you dont like it mark email as junk.

It's a transactional email, just like your purchases. Steam should notify us of these. If that email is problem for you, you can set a filter for it on your email provider or client to move/delete them as you choose.
