Include translation in AI disclosure requirements
Ever since LLMs became popular, translators have struggled to find work and translation quality has plummeted generally. Steam games are no exception. I typically play games in Japanese but it very much ruins the enjoyment to encounter obviously incorrect text that any human would notice with a little attention. Sometimes it makes a puzzle insoluble.

The problem is so rampant that Japanese reviewers often comment on the quality of a game's translation, because buyers are concerned. Worse, if the worst of the translation comes after 2 hours of play, you can't return the game.

I only speak Japanese and English, but I imagine that other localizations have this problem too.

If games have AI disclosure warning for other parts of the game, the language content should also be subject to the same standard. Thanks for considering this suggestion.

Doesn't that fall under Pre-Generated?

That sounds right. I think it should be made explicit and enforced, because I think people don't reliably include that when they answer the Content Survey.

If you feel that the game devs did not disclose AI content properly, report it via the store page report flag.

That makes sense to me! I just want to get confirmation from someone who works for the company before I start throwing out reports.

Valve doesn't respond to the suggestions forum.

All reports have Valve look into it.
