Big Picture Mode already works well, but the following UI improvements could make it even better:

1. Reduce the number of recently played games so they all fit cleanly on the screen without scrolling.

2. Add a compact top navigation bar with the following options:

- Games

- Applications

- Soundtracks

- Store

3. Remove the visual clutter beneath the home page, requiring the user to scroll down to view news and activity feeds.

4. Most impactful change: When selecting Games, Applications, or Soundtracks, show installed items first. From there, allow users to switch to viewing their full library (instead of defaulting to “All Games”).

These changes could make Steam Big Picture Mode feel more console like and perfect timing with Steam Machine hardware on the way!
