All price settings are done by the developers of the game.

So if the game is marked down, then that is because the devs are lowering the price themselves.

Just buying the game, regardless of its price, shows support for the game.

Yes but introductory discounts are like the standard setting for all games today and i would like the option to give them the full price from the begin if i think the game is worth it. Without waiting an killing the hype.

If the game isn't on Sale, then you are paying full price already.
You don't get a discount for buying the game early.

Friendly reminder that developers/publishers are not your girlfriend. I'd advice against throwing them money like they are some high-class strippers because you might end up regretting it in the future if they start doing things differently in the name of profit.

I want this option almost only for little indie games we're i know the need every Dollar, not for tripple AAA Games or big publisher.

I dont want a discount from steam i want an option to deactivate an discount an this should bei possible because the Standard price you can always see on the game site, so the price should bei in the system.

What I said applies to every single devs out there no matter how small or large the team is. You'd be surprised how many times ive seen indie becoming the monster they pretended to fight against. Almost every single studio we collectively hate as gamers started as "indie"...

Besides, if they couldn't function with the price they are asking for. They would just.... raise the price...

Devs are already offering you the price they find fair, as they set up the discount. You're already supporting the dev.

And the part where prices change through the purchase process kind of open to a set of problems, sometimes even legal.

Discount isn't from steam, its from the dev. Steam doesn't set any of the prices and steam can't change a dev's price they set. So your only option is to ask for an option at no discount from the dev.

Discount isn't from steam, its from the dev. Steam doesn't set any of the prices and steam can't change a dev's price they set. So your only option is to ask for an option at no discount from the dev.

But here's the thing, the game isn't being discounted unless it is on sale or is so old and doesn't sell enough to bother keeping at full price.
