So if the game is marked down, then that is because the devs are lowering the price themselves.
Just buying the game, regardless of its price, shows support for the game.
You don't get a discount for buying the game early.
Besides, if they couldn't function with the price they are asking for. They would just.... raise the price...
And the part where prices change through the purchase process kind of open to a set of problems, sometimes even legal.
Discount isn't from steam, its from the dev. Steam doesn't set any of the prices and steam can't change a dev's price they set. So your only option is to ask for an option at no discount from the dev.
So the discount OP is not wanting, doesn't exist.
