Steam is not some corner store in a village kinda proffits.
They are in fact very expensive. I highly recommend you do a bit of research on this subject. It doesn’t matter how rich Steam / VALVE is, it’s a service they won’t be making any money from only a loss.
Steam are never going to implement a translation service when users can translate posts themselves for free.

If 1% of the concurrent users (400k users of 40M) would translate the above paragraph (39 "words"), it would cost Valve 312 USD. If they cache the result and the hitrate is 97%, it would still cost Valve 9.36 USD. Just for these 39 words alone.
I just wanted it to be brough to attention that this is possible and i would surely enjoy more this game because al lthe walkthroughs and stuff are in another language and i would love to just have auto translator everywhere so i can just see it in my language and use it.
Alas i understand that this extra cost seems astronomical and surely break steam bank.
Valve is also not going to waste millions or even billions of dollars in getting the required server farms as well as software to develop and use their own large language model just so you can forego doing ctrl-a, ctrl-c, alt-tab, ctrl-v.
