If you want the games to update as soon as your client knows there's an update available, you can set the game to do that in its preferences, and if you want the rest of your games to only update when you tell them to, you can set that in your client preferences. Just be sure to clear the game-specific setting when you're moving it to your hard drive.
No. I dont want to auto-update at all. I'm updating games may be once a week. When I got the list of games that are ready to update I'm choosing them 1 by 1 according to drive where the game is. So I don't want to update HDD ones at all. (everytime I have to remember where the game is - it would be easier if there was an attribution/little text, you know))))
Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Only update at game launch
That turns off updates for any game you're not opening.
Then you can go into the preferences of the games you do want to be kept up to date and set them to high priority so Steam doesn't schedule the updates, it just downloads them immediately.
Okay, this is an suggestions topic
So I'm trying to make suggestion and you trying to solve the problem in another way, do I correctly understand you?
All I need is a little text right next to game on download/update list
Your way of solving problem makes another problem, what if I don't want to mark low or high priority everytime/everygame? What if I pull the game from HDD to SSD?- I need to bring gamesetting back.
You do understand that someone providing a potential fix/workaround doesn't somehow affect your suggestion?
You would have to change the setting on a game when moving it between drives, but all that would happen if you forget to do that is the game getting updated more or less quickly than you wanted.
I don't want to change settings on each game that transfered to HDD... AND change back the setting when I transfering back to SSD
