Suggestion to Clarify Review Eligibility Information on Steam Support Pages
Hello Steam Support Team,

I’d like to suggest a small but important clarification regarding the information about user reviews and account limitations on your website.

Currently, one page states that new or limited accounts cannot create reviews until they have spent at least $5 USD. Another page explains that users do not need to have purchased a game on Steam in order to write a review, as long as the product is in their library (via key, free-to-play, etc.). While both statements are accurate, presenting them separately can lead to confusion. Some users may interpret the second statement to mean that simply having a game in their account is enough to write a review, even if their account is still limited.

To avoid misunderstandings, it might help to add a brief clarification such as:

“You can write a review for any game or product in your Steam account, regardless of how it was acquired, provided your account is not limited (i.e., you have spent at least $5 USD or added equivalent funds to your Steam Wallet).”

This small addition would clearly connect both rules and prevent new users from assuming they can review games before unlocking all community features.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

It could probably help with a rewrite. The limited account restriction came after the ability to write reviews, so it makes sense that there's some disconnect between the statements.
