When you block a user make it so you also can't leave posts on their profile, artwork, etc.
If anyone has an actual legitimate reason why someone who blocked another user should be posting on their profile, artwork, etc i'd love to hear the reason why. Especially as they can simply unblock if they decide later they want to engage in discussion with that user.

I think this would go a long way to helping users stop feuding if User A can't block someone and then for instance Spam user A to try to get force them to block them in return.

Again, this only effects YOURSELF, no one else, so unlike other suggestions where people want to limit others, this is just putting common sense blocks in place to help manage people's anger.

imagine letting someone else you've blocked live so rent free in your head you can't relax until they have blocked you as well.

Sadly some people are like that, this is why something like this would help them get out of the bad place they are in

Well makes your precious "artworks" any different than what we are proposing? If a person is "blocked" they should off our feed, and out of our lives.

Meanwhile, just keep your profile to "friends only".

You're right lol. We been proposing this for ages. But now that someone who has made every excuse in the world why we should not ends up a "victim", they now see the light.

I think i've now seen it all on these forums.

Man, you really struggle to grasp.

He didn't BLOCK the guy. The guy blocked HIM. And even after blocking him, instead of standing by their block they went out of their way to harass them on their artwork.

If anything, all this proves is that it is a BLOCKER issue like people have been saying for years.

If you want 2 way block, join a community that uses a format which make this kind of blocking system make sense. Not a forum open to the public.

I mean there is no part of this thread that isn't some internet grudge being hashed out in a public passive aggressive manner, whichever side you are on. I do not know what discourse you are expecting targetting an abuse case with a sample size of one. The block system already prevents feuding if the victim simply uses it to prevent the attacker from doing that nonsense, but, again, that is irrelevant because this is about the egos of the individuals involved so let them have fun yelling at each other. It is what everyone here wants most. The customer is always right.

The suggestion solves the issue. Also the fact that certain users have already netted multiple bans for harrassing users on their artwork (spamming the same message hundreds of times) already shows moderation does consider such behavior as against the rules, and Brian’s suggestion would nip this problem in the bud. If user A blocks user B, it implies that user A does not want any contact with user B. Preventing blocking users from interacting with people they’ve blocked, something that is implicitly what the block function is for, an Brian’s suggestion would better achieve this.

Artwork is not attached to the forums. That is why some have resorted to stalking and harassing peoples artwork resulting in community bans. When someone does that, they really need to just give out permanent community bans.

You wouldn’t happen to have any proof that it’s a sample size of one would you? Harrassment on screenshots and artwork is more common than you might think. It’s part of why I set my profile to friends only, though that’s not to say that should be NECESSARY just to dodge harrassment from individuals with an axe to grind.

Just go to a REAL two way blocking feature, like they have on reddit and others. Therefore, whomever blocks who gets them out of their lives.

We've been thru this as nauseum and you don't want it.

Therefore, you shall put your profile on private or friends only, or you shall deal with the issue.

Exactly, the user in question responsible for said harrassment really needs to “move on”
