Otherwise, you might need to seek alternative platforms, like Discord (if the game in question has one) and politely and privately reach out to an admin there about the issue.
The restriction notifications expire very quickly. I've managed to miss it somehow.
On top of that, I'm under impression that this feature is either not working or not mandatory to use for community moderators.
Got response there 1 (one) time in a decade - and only after I've reached the project leader themselves on a third party resource accidentally.
And - well, nobody's perfect - I had an opportunity to try to do so way more than once.
Official project's customer support is keeping bleating nonsense.
If official support representatives refuse to step in, then I highly doubt that third-party communication channels would gonna be of any use either.
Not mentioning that if that attempt would gonna result in moderation privileges abuse there too - I'll have one more problem to solve.
But OP, since this is a perma-ban, do reach out to Steam if you believe the ban was for frivolous, non-TOS breaking reasons. They won’t let you back into the TOS forums, but it won’t count as a strike towards limiting your account.
You can go to the forum you're banned in and open the ban notification. I'd also love to see the message you were banned for, considering they banned you for "Islamaphobia".
My last ex was of Jewish origin - and I've treated her like a queen.
I'm still keeping contact with a coworker from my last workplace despite her "bedroom preferences". Lesbian or not, be it frowned upon in our lands or not, she was an excellent teammate, a person from whom I in my early forties can learn alot.
I've read (and understood) Quran so I do have some understanding of their ways and their unique look on what's appropriate or not.
Noone have balls nor even slightest opportunity to try to accuse me of intolerance IRL - and whomever does so online is hiding behind moderation permissions like a cowardly dog, not having enough courage to even pretend that I've actually did something bad (and back their words with at least something remotely better than "trust me bro, you bad").
This permaban situation is outright bewildering to the point that I'm considering checking what legal options I have in our country.
We live in turbulent times - and this crap popping in at least appropriate time and attracting unwanted attention from officials is NOT something I'd like to have anywhere near me.
Unfortunately, the notification on screenshot is not interactable.
And I don't see any other UI elements assotiated with moderation.
And no local person of power (be it IRL or here at Steam) seems to give a damn.
Maybe that's some new feature... VERY new, since I've contacted them sometime in September.
Support tickets expire and become inaccessible nowadays too, you know.
Everything for the convenience of end user (not).
It doesn't work that way. You get a community ban if you GET multiple forum bans in a short period of time. After a little bit that won't count towards the automated community ban. Its not a community ban if you HAVE X amount of forum bans.
The forum bans all have to be issued in a short period of time to trigger it. I had a similar nonsense ban in the ship of heroes forums and it does nothing to impact your account - https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3573490562
Also you can see the post they banned you for here - https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/id/Alronbem/moderatormessages/
You know, not posting this was always an option.
If you got banned from a game hub, then Valve is not going to override the devs (or their appointed moderators) to appease you.
Game hubs are allowed to have their own different rules than from the general forums.
There are some rules that are forced, such as no illegal behavior, but beyond that, hubs have different rules.
Rules of this game are not formalized anywhere and change without notice.
Now, THAT's something actually useful! I'm keeping forgetting that Steam have a ton of auxiliary pages which are not linked to from anywhere.
Thank you!
It's odd at the very least to get this link from fellow player rather than from whichever legal entities I've reached to within last 30 days.
Fairness for fairness.
Lo and behold,
Islamophobia, Town of Salem Moderation edition!
Also, "content which is against our rules, including sexism, discussion on politics + religion & disrespect towards moderators/developers/staff", tightly packed into a single post.
So hide your little angels before opening and reading:

Hmmmmmmm, now I remember. Apparently, I've rolled critical success on "Proficiency: English" check. I'm not as eloquent in English nowadays.
Still, among all listed deadly sins of digital bandidos, Islamophobia is the least plausible here.
Welp, one more chunk of info to pass to Роскомнадзор. If, once in a blue moon, they would give a damn about it. Previous inquiry remains unanswered, for now.
Bonus for attentive readers, "appeal in ban message comments, it always works".
Apparently, does... unless it doesn't:

Our ancestors fought and died so we could have at least some rights.
A right to beg is not among these.
Though I suspect you're not quite the innocent party here m8.
Its also hilarious that you responded to the ban notification in such a toxic disgusting way, that its little wonder the moderators just clicked "Ignore Discussion" and didn't even bother replying to that.
Remember bigots always use the defense "I have a friend who is X" which of course immediately makes litearlly the litany of nonsensical bigotry to come 'ok' for some inexplicable reason
