Just hide your play activity from public view then if it bothers you this much. Individual games can also be set to Private by right clicking it then click manage then "mark as private"

That is what Steam Support tells people. Sometimes it is not a total lie.

Valve works on Valve Time anyway so the earliest chance they would implement a change is when you can get the Steam replay 2039 badge

I also managed to dodge a few badges. I am starting to become good at it.
