new type of community layout
I was wondering if it would be possible to get a community layout for graphic settings built into steam kinda like the controller layouts, for steam deck and hopefully the steam machine, that way other members of the community and also devs or steam could make them for easier for people to just download and apply to their games on those 2 devices so we can get the best settings from the word go instead of having to tinker for those who are new to linux/steam os.

There are very few games with Workshop support for configuration settings (but not zero!)

Games with full code access could probably have Workshop items that change graphics settings for you, but outside of things people manually put together for the Workshop, Steam simply doesn't know how to edit the graphics settings for any given game.

The controller layouts work because Steam has full control over that data and just tells the game what button is being pressed or which button does a specific action when asked. There isn't a similar thing for graphics settings currently.

However! Steam Deck Verification requires developers to have the default graphics settings when installing on a Steam Deck be reasonable and provide good performance.
