always ignored.
sorry for the bad news.
I'm aware of this but it doesn't hurt to try. Steam Support are not helpful either as they keep giving ME warnings when I'm the one asking for help.
Possibly the same way I was once (briefly) harassed. Someone obsessively following you around on Steam and commenting under any post you make hurling personal insults. Even if you have that person blocked, you’re going to notice a pattern of a blocked user ALWAYS commenting directly after you post and get curious as to why.
As to the OP: DON’T ENGAGE. Report, Report, Report if they’re personally attacking you. Steam’s TOS doesn’t allow it. If the subforum mods neglect their duties and neither warn nor ban the harasser (if the harassment doesn’t cease within a reasonable time frame-say two weeks)-that’s something you could make a case to Steam support about (with screenshots of evidence-I’d hope they’d listen then).
Who is harassing whom?
Just ignore them, that is literally the best thing you can do.
If you are getting warnings then you are probably reacting in an aggressive manner that helps nobody and if anything is just making things worse for you.
Stop falling for their bait and you'll be fine, you don't need to react to everything.
That’s when you report the profile directly rather than just hitting the comments. While a bit slower to get acted upon it seems to get looked at a bit more thoroughly than just reporting the posts alone.
As for OP, block, report the posts and the profile itself for harrassment, and move on. It doesn’t make retaliation and firing back at them with personal attacks any less against the rules, hence the warnings from support.
Though the ones usually requesting it tend to be notorious for harrassing others, like say through thousands of comments on a user’s artwork and netting multiple bans for the same
I beg your pardon? you know nothing of the situation. The user in question has been going out of his way to derail discussions. Why don't you look at his post history instead of coming here making acusations over something you know nothing about.
Come to think of it your response here is derailing what this thread is about.
I’ve now noticed as much myself. I don’t have the time to dig through OP’s post history to see who “started it,” but OP is obviously not interested in ending it as they’re still engaging with (I assume) the person they claim is harassing them. *Sigh*
You're right maybe I am but the person in question has legitimately been driving me crazy. I will take your advice though and take some time to cool off.
That's a you problem. Your post history shows you going out of your way to engage with the user you claim is harassing you, despite allegedly having them blocked.
Stop engaging with them and your problem will be solved.
For example I've seen a user stalk and harass another for years, the harasser kept getting community bans while the other person didn't even respond to them. So the individual doing so tried harassing someone else and still gets hit, lol.
