About playtime

I’d like to share a small suggestion regarding how Steam displays playtime for games.

Currently, playtime is shown in hours (for example, “2.6 hrs” or “2 hours on record”). While this works fine, it might be more intuitive and visually appealing to display playtime in a hours–minutes format, such as “2⧗36”.

This alternative uses a custom time separator (⧗) that resembles a clock symbol — making the playtime instantly recognizable and giving it a clean, modern look.

It’s a small UI detail, but I believe it could enhance how users perceive and interpret their time spent in games.

Thank you for continuing to improve Steam and for being open to creative ideas from the community.

Best regards,
Kapu

After being here so long my brain automatically does the x6 after the decimal point and converts it to total time.

That, maybe just minutes or a toggle like they did with DL speeds

Just remember, it is NOT playtime, as steam only see's the games EXE running.

Steam has no idea if your playing, or even at the KB.
