PIN for our games in the library
Have you ever hated it when someone like a sibling or cousin deleted your progress in a game, or when someone hacked your account and deleted your game progress?

Add an "add password" button. And it can be customized to your liking with phrases, sounds, and more; and to further customize it, Steam points, that forgotten currency, will be used.

What if you forget your password?
They send you an email with instructions on how to remove or set a new password.

And above all, it's optional; you don't necessarily have to enter a password. Just right-click on the game and enter the password.

I hope my idea is heard...

Game PIN is not needed, you are responsible for the security of your steam account. Your not supposed to give out your log in information or give access to anyone else. Anything that happens in the use of your steam account is seen as the account owner doing it.

I recommend you set up Steam Guard on your phone through the Steam app.
Log out on your primary computer and you can quickly sign in each time by scanning the QR code.

Dude. Sharing your account is not allowed for one.

And if the hijacker reach that point. It means he went through your login, password and 2FA. (I'll assume you got that enabled at least if you suggest security measures.)

At that point you massively ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up already.

He never claimed to share an account, he said "like a sibling". Someone can go onto your PC without your knowledge, esp if you share the PC. Its a simple hypothetical.

keep your microsoft pc login info private, log out of any shared or private pc when not at your pc., keep your steam log in info secure and logged out when not on the pc. account owner is still responsible for the security of there steam account. They agreed to this when setting up the steam account.

Once again, no need for hypothetical anything, a game pin is NOT needed.

I meant individually, not for everyone, just individually for each game.

It's true that Windows already has built-in protection, but some people have to play on their family PCs Therefore, if someone gains access to that PC, they will only have access to those games, and other games will require a PIN or password.

I mean that is why you put a password on your windows login and everyone has their own login to the PC. Then the problem is already solved. Afterall if you let them into your account they can already manually delete stuff and wipe out saves.

The solution is to password protect the windows login.

same thing, log out of your steam account when not playing games. Don't save or set your pc to remember your steam log in info. log out of your windows account. No one should be using anyone elses Windows account or steam account. Be safe, and then no one can access your games, steam, files, or anything else. In this day and age, there is no reason to share any computer accounts with anyone, not even family.

Again, there is zero need to have a per game on steam pin code.. your not to share your steam account with anyone else period. if your logged out of your steam account, no one else can access your games... If your logged out of your windows account, then no one can access your files.

The security features are already in place if you use them properly.
