Managing friend requests
To give an example, I don't want someone who is level 10 and VAC banned to send me a friend request, I want Valve to provide us with the settings for this.

I've been struggling with bot accounts for 3 months. Steam can't help me with this, but if such a setting comes, I think it will be an improvement that will make account management more inclusive.

There should be options such as making friends through mutual friends based on level, ban status, activity, and even an option to turn off friend requests. That's all I can think of for now, but you get what I mean.

I would definately love an option to turn off friend requests at the very least. 9/10 people who add me are scammers. Might as well skip that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ entirely. I'll do the adding myself if needs be.

This is a very logical idea. As someone who doesn't have any friends (I don't want to be added as friends), I don't want to be added as friends by anyone. I love this platform, and I think one of its shortcomings is that it doesn't offer enough options in this regard.

mate by hiding your profile you can hide the attention and live a comfortable life. Of course, not everyone wants to do this, they want to be unreachable with a nice profile, but I don't know, it seems wrong to me. You don't want interaction and friendship, but I don't know if you want to show your profile to everyone. It would be good to have such a feature on Steam. Providing more freedom and options for people would be nice for everyone.

I hope this thread grows, I really need this to happen. I've been harassed by 3 different bot accounts in the last week alone. I think I've received nearly 30 friend requests in 3 months. Even though I changed my profile URL, they still manage to find me.
