I had a pair of Nvidia 3D Vision glasses back in the day and I absolutely loved the immersive feeling that it brought to games that were never designed to have depth actually appear ... well.. deep! Nvidia retired the project but now with steam frames it should be a simple software hack to get the 3D Vision effect. It rendered the game twice slightly offset (the distance of your eyes) on alternating lines of pixels such that the right eye would see one set of pixels and the left eye would see the other set. But with Steam Frames it would be even simpler! you wouldn't need to rely on alternating polarized lines, all you would need is to render the image twice with offset so you brain sees depth and suddenly every single game appears like if has depth to it. Better yet, when it's done via software you can let people adjust the depth to suit their eyes. I have been craving that psudo-VR experience ever since Nvidia canned the project and now it should finally be possible again provided valve gives us the freedom to enable such things. Please someone make this... please, we could enable it via decky
