This cap is arbitrary, pointless and needs to be lifted immediately.

When I try to ignore game developers or publishers, I am given the error message that "There was a problem trying to ignore the Steam Curator.
Note: You cannot ignore a curator you already follow."
This is in cases where I am not following the developer, and it is happening in every case.
After a bit of research, I believe that this may be happening because the developer pages are programmed similar to the curator pages, and a limit of 100 ignores was set on curators. I may have hit this limit of ignored creators, though I cannot verify this as I cannot find a list of all ignored developers anywhere.
Obviously there is good reason to be able to ignore more than 100 developers. There are more than 100 developers & publishers on Steam rapidly publishing hundreds of AI slop games, such as this developer who I encountered this error on: https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/developer/cyberkeks
Ignoring each of their games individually would take an inordinate amount of time, and would do nothing to prevent their new games from clogging up search feeds and preventing players from finding the games they are interested in.
Please investigate this bug and lift the cap if that is indeed what is causing the error. Thank you.

I understand your concern and sorry for the confusion with the error description. Currently, the count of curators that can be ignored or followed has a maximum of 100. For example, if you have something like 94 followed and 7 ignored you will be at the maximum of 100. At this time you would need to remove one or more from your followed or ignored in order to add anymore curators to either the ignored or followed lists.
You can view your ignored total by going to the following URL: https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/curators/recommendedcurators/?
Note: if a followed or ignored curator has been disabled they will not show in your ignored page but will show here in the total and do affect the limit
You can view your followed total on the following URL: https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/curators/home/
Note: the followed total will include any followed curators that had been disabled as they affect the limit.
On the other hand, sure thing, I have taken note of your concern. The development team is aware there are users who would like this maximum to be increased and they are looking at potential for that in the future.

Thank you for your response. However, I would like for you to re-read my original query carefully.
My concern does not pertain to *curators.* I barely use the curator system and have just a small number of curators followed & ignored.
The problem is with *developers* and *publishers.* The people who *make* games, not just the curators who recommend them.
The concern is twofold. One, ignoring developers is significantly more impactful than ignoring curators, as it filters out every game that a developer has made and prevents them from clogging up searches and discovery queues.
And two, most significant, please pay attention to this detail. Ignored developers do *not* appear in the "Ignored" section on the curators page you linked (https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/curators/recommendedcurators/?). On this page I can see the small handful of curators I have ignored, but not a single developer or publisher. This means that I cannot clear them from my total in order to make room even if I wanted to.
I am grateful that you are considering this seriously. I personally do not think I would need the cap to be lifted if it only pertained to curators, as I feel unlikely to hit 100 in total followed & ignored, though I am certain that there are others who would benefit. But the fact that developers are rolled in with curators, but only with partial functionality, presents a significant problem.
Also I would like to draw your attention to the post in the suggestions forum which was posted by another user a few days ago, concerned about the very same issue. https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/discussions/forum/10/628941617404927940/
Thank you for your time.

Hi there,
Sorry about the previous message. We missed addressing your initial concern.
Please note that ignored curators, creators, developers, and publishers all count towards a single, shared ignore limit on Steam.
Unfortunately, the Steam interface does not provide a single list of all ignored developers and publishers.
As we've stated, your concern is noted - we will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep in mind that the developer team is aware and they are evaluating its potential for future development.
Regarding any feature requests or expanded support/functionality, if you wish to share an opinion, suggestion, or idea with the community as well, please visit the Suggestions/Ideas section of the Steam Discussion forums. This forum is regularly read by Valve's development team
If you have any further questions, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you.

The limit is set to 100 so that Valve can manage the access to a development and distribution of Curated content Service offered by Steampowered.com and their massive Online Store.
I think as a consumer we need not be so greedy.
It's a lot to ask a dev or Curator to manage 100 people and work at making content for me. It's all welcome no matter what they make. It's a lot of work, and i always appreciate the effort.
Like answering emails, phone calls, and texts from gamer's and staff every cyclical term, hit's share holder goals, and breaking innovations barriers as well as leveling up their gamer's fan base is an exceptional goal.
The content published sounds really exciting all the time and all those big dreams really come together quickly and they all have such a massive impact on people's lives old and young, male and female, who aren't country specific or and have no social problems in it's design.
What a feat.
IMO.
I think you need to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stop making 100's of accounts and following so many curators. there's a lot of people working to bring you content. I wish i had your strength and honor, with a fire and sword.
