Click the X to close the window instead of minimizing it.

If you enter by accident. Just use Alt+Enter. It will quickly go back to the standard mode.
I use almost exclusively BP in my handhelds.

I'll second this idea. I get unreasonably angry when I try to turn off my controller and it opens that stupid mode. No work around or setting change has managed to PERMANENTLY save me from this aggravation.

Alt+Enter is a good tip but I'd just as soon disable it entirely in Steam and get rid of the icon. It sure as ♥♥♥♥ doesnt need to be there in between my profile and the minimize button. Thats for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sure.
