Steam console? Challenging ps5 and xbox

Hello

I have got an idea , which is , why not valve (steam) creates a console for steam competing against ps5 and xbox, instead of making childish nintendo like decks ...

The games would Sync in the library, so I dont have to buy the same games of my pc in console , and just the ui changes depending on the game , ofcourse not all games would be avaiable in the console because of the ui or game mecanics.

Winners : players + steam

Losers : Ps5 and Xbox owners

Its up to the devs to decide if they want their game to be in the console btw .I dont make the politics .

Anyways , would you agree with me? I hope steam devs get this idea

Its called a PC with Steam OS. They had them before and the reception was lackluster, but there are rumors they are releasing a new one.

It will just be a PC running Steam OS so its not really different then a PC

The difference is Proton is a thing now. It wasn't back then. But yeah it would just be a stripped down PC.

So you'd be opaying for a less functional PC about the same price too. since the components it would still have are the components that make up the largest cost of a pc,
