I know this has probably been talked about a lot in here but it doesnt hurt to talk about it again. Some people like grinding for achievements because they like completing games to its entirety. Every game has achievements for the base game (not including DLC) when the Game releases, however if we fast forward a couple months or a year and we already got all the achievements for the base game and the developers decide to add a DLC with achievements, it ruins the "badge" of getting all the games original achievements. I never got all the achievements for any game but if I were to guess, im positive that if devs add a DLC with achievements, your badge literally gets REMOVED because of the additional achievements. Is there a way to fix this? Yes, there is. Not an easy way, but a way that still let's steam users feel like a completionist. Heres my Idea of it: So, we already know that when you view achievements we have "personal achievements" which lets you see your progress on achievements, and then we have "global achievements" which lets you see the percentage of how many players have certain achievements, but what if steam added a separate tab for DLC achievements? For example, next to "global achievements" there is a tab that is labeled "DLC/Extras" and everytime a DLC is added, it goes straight to the "DLC/Extras" tab. So steam users will still have their "completionist badge" and they wont lose it. However, if you decide that you want to go after the "DLC/Extra" achievements and you obtain them all, instead of having the basic blue completionist badge, it turns Red or yellow, or orange to signify that you got every single achievement there is for the game. I think this would be a good idea and great way to still allow players to share and express their games they have completed without losing their badge. Lemme know what you guys think!
