Steam Profile Game Showcases: Free games are not included in the search index, please add them

Game Collector, Favorite Game, and Completionist Showcase do not include free games in the search index, at least the free games I wanted to add, though I did not do a thorough search than more than a handful.

edit: some game do show up on the list. It seems like the earlier the game was released on Steam the more likely it will be included.

Are the ones you want to add "Profile Features Limited" or "Steam is Learning?"

Neither of those types can be used in showcases

I think you have to manually select what games you showcase.

For example:

If I wanted to add a game to the Game Collector Showcase, I would click on one of the spots for a game and then "Select Featured Game" box would pop up where you'd type in the game's name.

Some free games will not show up, e.g. Children of Clay, Unsorted Horror, How Fish is Made.

Though games like Sprout and 'Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist' did show up, perhaps due to being older games on Steam and had been included in an earlier list before free games were excluded.
