Remove the jester award, it's used as an insult and little else
And its mostly used on threads made by people voicing an either unpopular opinion on a game or strait up stating facts about the game no one wants to hear because they want to live under the delusion their game is perfect or prefer a game that has such unfair difficulty they can't take more than 2 steps without dying.

The threads that speak out these things are given the Jester award, NOT BECAUSE OP was trying to be funny but to publicly shame the poster and signal to likeminded indiviuals: "Hey, come and troll the hell out of this thread, we want to ensure no one takes this person seriously so spam it with trollposts to ensure anyone who might glance at it will react like that one meme with the black man carrying pizza into a burning room before leaving without posting.

Edit: Wow, way to prove my point by giving this thread a jester award people. And low and behold JUST LIKE I SAID, the troll posts have begun. If Steam devs read this, you now see my point I hope please remove the jester award.

The jester is used by people who cannot argue what you have said, so they have to pretend to "clown on you" in order to "own" you. It's free points.

No need for removing the jester award its here for a reason and it usually awarded to people that post some provocative or absurd requests on the forums like "lgbt" and stuff

the fact that you find anything lgbt related "absurd" or "provocative" tells me your one of those people who like to jester award posts like meantioned in my OP.

They weren't at all a measure of whether or not a video was good. They were a measure of if a youtuber was popular.

They weren't at all a measure of whether or not a video was good. They were a measure of if a youtuber was popular.
They were in a way, if a video was helpful when you were looking for a solution of some issue the first thing you do is checking like/dislike ration if it has lots of like it means that you should stay and watch that video if it has dislikes over likes its 9 times of 10 that video was unhelpful and pretty bad so you wouldnt waste your time on it
Now we dont have likes/dislikes. Sure you can bring them back by an extension but they should be there without any extensions

I think we need more variants of jester awards we have only 1 now

I suggested an option to reject Awards you don't want and you can guess what happened next which proves my point. The Jester Award literally ruins discussions. I wouldn't mind if Awards like the Jester were given as a means to compliment a user but instead people just give them to Troll, to annoy or to anger or mock a user.
