About a month ago, I opened a topic on the forum requesting a transparent profile theme. Yesterday evening, an event called the Immersive Storyline Game Festival began, and as part of it, a transparent profile theme is now being offered for free in the Steam Points Shop.

I'm not sure whether this theme was created in response to my request or if it was already planned in advance, but I just wanted to come here and say thank you.

Anyone who wants to get the free transparent profile theme can claim it from the Steam Points Shop until November 3rd. Once again, many thanks to the Steam Support staff. If any member of the Steam Support team sees this message, feel free to close the topic.

they seem to have already changed it to cost 5k points, still cheaper then what I paid ( 10000 ), but it's not longer free

it's no longer transparent

They originally made the transparent profile free, but then they turned it into a paid one. Later, they made it free again, but removed the transparency feature and replaced it with a yellow profile theme. Unfortunately, the profile is no longer transparent.

From what I can tell, no one in the community wants to spend 10,000 Steam points just for a profile that’s supposed to be transparent. People simply want a clean, transparent look for their profile and nothing more.

The Dying Light 2 profile doesn't seem to attract much attention. How many people have you actually seen using its background or avatar?

If we make our voices heard as a community and clearly show what we’re asking for, I believe that eventually we might see the transparent theme being sold on its own.

It was a shame to see them turn the profile theme into gold. I was enjoying the transparency. I know someone had to work on that gold color, but it honestly makes things on my profile harder to see.

I agree that a transparent theme - maybe other kinds of themes - should be sold on the points shop. I don't have any interest in Dying Light, but its profile theme would be the beginning and end of my interaction with the series, if I had the points for it.
