I am currently organising my Steam library by sorting games into categories, similar to how anime is sorted on platforms like MyAnimeList or AniList (e.g., Unplayed, Want to Play, Currently Playing, Paused, Dropped, Completed). I’ve set up a dynamic collection for games I haven’t played yet. However, I now want to create additional collections for games I plan to play soon, as well as for games I don’t intend to play.


Currently, when I add games from my "Unplayed" dynamic collection to non-dynamic collections (e.g., "Want to Play Soon"), those games remain in the dynamic collection unless I manually exclude them. Similarly, when I remove games from those non-dynamic collections, they do not automatically return to the dynamic collection. This results in needing to manually adjust the inclusion of games in the dynamic collection every time they are added or removed from another collection, which takes away from the benefit of having a dynamic collection in the first place.


It would be extremely helpful if Steam allowed my to exclude entire collections, not just specific games, from a dynamic collection. Therefore, when adding a game to a excluded collection (such as "Want to Play Soon") would automatically remove it from the dynamic collection (e.g., "Unplayed"), and removing a game from that collection would automatically re-add it to the dynamic collection.

This will make it a lot easier to manage my library!
