Ability for use steam deck as controller for PC
I'm really with steam deck controls. It's very good for playing PC games like factorio, ONI, 4X strategies, etc. But there isn't official support for this. Now I'm using virtualhere for it, but there it's not ideal. It would be very nice to have official support of using steam deck as controller.

Me too! I would love this! It is much more ergonomic for me than regular controllers.

When I sit back in a recliner my elbows go to my sides and the standard xbox controller is too narrow so my hands end up pulling on it or just having a half grip.

That, and it is just a a great controller - steam controller plus a screen???

When I buy a steam machine, I don't want to play games on my steam deck, I want to play the game on the steam machine and use the steam deck as the controller.
