Getting fed up...
This is about my 13 year old son's account, not mine. It seems he was hacked and his steam password changed. I've been trying to recover his account all day. Recovery emails are not showing up anywhere in his email account (not in spam or anywhere), even though Steam indicates they're being sent there. Tried opening a help ticket, but Steam won't let me submit the ticket without me first entering a code sent to my son's email... which, as I said, he's not getting.

It ridiculous. Can't get help without the emails... but not receiving the emails is the thing we need help with!

After awhile it blocks us from even making the attempt. And there doesn't seem to be a way to talk to an actual human being. We can physically prove it's his account, if we could get past this stupid wall.

Is there no customer service? My son paid for a lot of games he can't access anymore.

Most times when someone's account gets hijacked, the hijacker will change the email details on the account to prevent recovery.
You can however still recover his steam account by following the guide below.
Just select ''i do not have access to the email, phone number ect'' and you will get to point where you can send steam a ticket.

Also you need to figure out how your son compromised his account details

These are just some of the ways he could have given away his log in credentials:

*Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
*Have you been asked to register for a tournament/faceit group?
*Have you used any third-party site for gambling or trading? (doesn't have to have been recent, they can keep your info for years, waiting till you build up your inventory)
*Have you logged in on a public device?
*Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
*Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
*Have you been invited to a playtest a game via a link in chat?
*Have you talked to an "admin" after being "accidentally reported"?
*Do you use any browser extensions (like Steam Inventory Helper or CSFloat Market Checker)?
*Does someone else use your PC or your account?
