A Q about Guild Wars
I see that Steam has made GW1 steamdeck friendly. My question is, do I have to rebuy the game (I already own the game, but outside of Steam)? Or can I enter my existing CD key? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I really don't want to have to rebuy all of the game expansions all over again...

Your keys won't work on Steam. You can however always just simply download the official launcher from the website, login through there, and then add it as a non-steam game to your libary.

Random product keys are not redeemable on Steam in most cases. Owning a game on one platform generally doesn't give you access to the game on all other platforms. The product owner might be willing to give you a Steam product code, but in general wanting a game on a specific platform requires buying it from that platform or otherwise purchasing a specific license for the platform you want.

But since the Steam Deck is just a Linux based PC I am pretty sure you can run most games that have Linux support or proton support, being on Steam isn't a requirement as far as I know, although it may be a convenience sometimes.

I will definitely have to watch some tutorials, I am very new to owning a SD in general lol
