I did everything but how do I get my money back?
Not hacked, phished. Most likely OP went to a scam trading site for skins that they believed it was to be trusted..lol. And if you look at their profile, yes, they use CS2.
You don;t. You use this as a life lesson not to trust anyone on the internet. Treat your steam account like your bank account. Do you give out your routing numbers to random people on the street?
Also, in the future, do not store money on your steam account wallet. Only put money on it when you want to buy something. I had a friend in this same prediciment, and yes, he found a trojan horse on his pc after he installed a mod from github.
To report an internet scam, the user has to contact the police. (The police may not be able to do anything about it, but they can report it.)
Sorry to hear that. I do know some people use steam wallet as a bank though. If you look thru other posts, you can see some people have reported doing this.
That is just one avenue for getting phished. You could of fallen for a vote for my team scam, free steam card scam, or someone tricked you on discord. There are many ways you got phished. This is the hardest part, to remember which sites you went to and left all your fingerprints all over it. This is why i do not use discord. The less sites you leave your personal info on, the better. Plus discord overlay can slow down pc's, like ubisoft connect. It is a third party launcher. People say it is not, but it is. Google Discord Activities. It does load games, and anything that loads games is a third party launcher.
The more overlays you have on your pc, the slower your pc becomes. If you want to, test it yourself. Xbox has a overlay build into most pc's. Steam has a overlay., nvidia/amd programs have overlays, etc..
Nothing sadly. It is gone. You can report to the police or steam, but i doubt they will do anything.
Also, i suggest checking for logins to your account. You may find where the person who stole your money was from. And check your API's. It should be blank.
