Game gifts just don't disappear without the users input on their account.
They could be on another account. It's been so long since games were able to be saved to inventory it's possible they're in an alt account and you forgot that detail.
What's more plausible, your faulty memory (applies to all human beings) or games were removed from only your inventory?
My guess is someone has access to your account and sent them to someone else.
Someone on your account had done something with them.
Check through your inventory history, Steam filter...

All I can show is that I had it, and now don't have it.
When viewing the Steam tab in your inventory, click the Steam tab again.
Well, it wasn't my memory that was faulty, in any case. Didn't always have to do that.
Hurray. Still not going to redeem them, but Thanks.
Game gifts are the only items that may do this and most likely because the privacy setting is just broken and tries to hide it from you along with others. It's been a bug for over a decade.
