Secure your account

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Is there any chance I can get my money back?

Steam Support will not restore stolen items nor stolen wallet funds.
In accordance with section 1 C of the Steam Subscriber Agreement, you are fully responsible for all actions on your account, no matter who used the account. This includes actions that occurred as the consequence of fraudulent account access by phishing or malware, be it input relay, session token theft or any other method that granted a third party access to your account.

Not Valve's fault if you enter your credentials where they don't belong.
Not Valve's fault if you install and/or run software without a second thought and get your session token stolen.

Your own fault for allowing your account to be compromised.

You obviously visited a shady website where you happily entered your account details. Accounts are never hacked, they are phished.

Account security is YOUR responsibility at all times.

You have to find out how your account was compromised.
  • Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
  • Have you been asked to register for a tournament?
  • Have you used any third-party site for gambling, trading or matchmaking?
  • Have you logged in on a public device?
  • Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
  • Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
  • Have you been contacted by someone (through chat or Discord) about an issue with your account?
  • Have you been "accidentally reported"?
  • Have you been invited to a "playtest"?
  • Does someone else use your PC or your account?
  • Do you use any browser extensions (like Steam Inventory Helper or CSFloat Market Checker)?
