Running steam gives me the "this app can't run on your PC. to find a version for your PC, check with software publisher"
i've had steam installed on my D drive ever since i've had this laptop and never had this issue before. i recently had to factory reset and was reinstalling evreything, including Steam. the app itself worked fine up until yesterday, but last night i downloaded Marvel Rivals and now i just get this banner pop up whenever i try to run Steam.

trying to uninstall both Marvel Rivals or Steam from the installed apps list gives me the same banner, and it won't let me delete the install folder manually either. this has happened once before when i tried to install Where Winds Meet which is why i had factory reset in the first place.

i don't know what's causing or how to fix it. appreciate any and all help

Most laptops have two graphic chips. A lower performant onboard chip and a dedicated graphic card. You may have turned off your dedicated card and told the system to use your onboard chip.

What kind of graphic card does your laptop have? AMD or NVidia?

i have a 1660ti on my laptop, and its working fine. other games work fine too. the one thing that i am worried about is that maybe my hard drive is the issue. something really weird happened tho, my laptop basically fixed itself. i quick formatted my D drive, it said that it failed and then i couldn't even open my D drive, but now after a few hours everything seems fine. i even typed this reply ON the steam app, it somehow opened
