Can't change steam default screenshot folder location
For years I've had steam set up to save my screenshots in a location of my choosing, but since moving it to another drive (and some updates I presume) I noticed my screenshots were being saved in the default location.

When looking at the settings for screenshots (steam>settings>in game) the option to move the default folder that used to be there seems to be missing, now only leaving you with the option to enable "Save an external copy of my screenshots", which is not what I want.

I don't want Steam to create 2 screenshots and still save 1 in the default location. I want the damn default screenshot folder to be WHERE I CHOOSE IT TO BE and only there. This was originally a setting we had available to us. I even saw some images of this with the older interface when googling it. Is there really no way anymore to change this?

That is what you want. Turn it on and you'll see an option to change the folder. That's where the screenshots will be saved to.

My mistake. I set the external screenshot folder and figured that was it, but I just tested it and it still defaults to the userdata folder as well as saving another copy to the my chosen external folder.

Yeah that's exactly the issue. It's not a big deal in the end, but frustrating considering there used to be an option to just straight up pick a default folder yourself. Just a waste of disk space that can add up over time if you forget about it the way it is now.
