Steam Overlay is Annoying
Is there a way to stop your controller from triggering both Big Picture Mode and the Steam Overlay, without disabling the Home button on your controller?

I'm someone who prefers to use the Xbox menu for screenshots and clips instead of Steam's tools. Also, BPM and Overlay hog a ton of PC resources for some reason.

You disable overlay completely

Go to Settings -> Controller -> Test Device Inputs -> Begin Test -> Setup Device Inputs, and then when it asks you to setup the Xbox home button just skip it. That worked for me.

It should stop opening Big Picture mode and in-game the Xbox button open only the game bar and steam overlay should still be usable via keyboard shortcut.
