Valve has to stop being incompetent
There's one thing that helped me at least a tiny bit (roughly halfed my loading times)
Click on your account name in the top right of your steam client -> Account details -> language settings and turn off pretty much every secondary language you have selected (I only kept my native language and english)
Don't forget to safe your options. Maybe this might help you as well.
and you cant compare othe DL with steam its been done this way sense steam was made they did this wayback then ppl have modem with max compression ration to data.
And worst part of this, there is even Suoercompression today that can send many cpu to its knees. ( you need to be a expert or master today in IT to kow this and know windows resourece manager and know CPU , disk I/O and network reciving to handle data, ( + know antivirus app can effect perfomance. )
You have provide nothing in know this, ( or know drive performance issue )
there is over 100.000 post with this, if im not mistaken,
And it dont help steam has updated and enable 1gbit compression for max performance, and same time effect old OS win7 and 8, that is outdated also so you see how things has change overtime, and steam user own problem in know this.
We are steam users here, and we will stop explan you anything, because there is know way we will keep explan how things work to people anymore, ( and stop think you all have wolrd best PC then you dont.
And how will we know here what hardware you have bought, if you dont use RAID or other fastest I/O disk througput.
Pretty sure alot of steam users dont like what i said here, we dont care what you think, its matter of you know the diffrence in have max preformance and not.
we other learn this way back with RAID to have best disk write in perfomance.
if you have standard SSD or old Spindisk, then you do not get it. ( that once was fast not anymore. )

old network rule is, if you cant handle incomeing data fast enough, then its you that tell server to slowdown, i cant keep up. ( this is work as intended or you will flooding yourself. standard network protocol it made this way, requrie network knowledge or you have read about it. ( you do not know this just to be a gamer,
so gl with it, i doubt many will tell yuo anything today in how PC is working and ask every steam user in what they have forget it.
all this is OP and steam user problem to explan, no helper here will ask what you have in pc spec anymore.

Just becuase you made a post 7 hours ago , this is before SSD disk even all the way back to first SSD even and befofre with spin disk only. ( nothing new here )
Our drivers in PC is still the slowest piece of crap and the bottleneck, require PC build knowledge for know this. even before steam was a game client , you can find DOS post with disk speed, and funny how this problem has always been there.
