This is an issue you will need to take up with EA as EA has a set of rules you must follow when you play their games.

They can ban anyone they wish that break their rules and steam cannot refund a game when you get banned in it like that if you are beyond the refund window as banned accounts usually have no rights for a refund on their side.

Looks like EAs reporting tool is working as intended. They removed a deeply offensive name after a user report.

Also to note, once EA ban you, you cannot unlink the steam account from the EA account and you cannot create and use another EA account with your current Steam account, it is tied on EA side and only they can unlink it so all EA games will be unplayable on your Steam account now.

Ah yes, a prime example for the saying, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes"
