Games don't play themselves and the login history doesn't update live so it's very possible your account is compromised right now and you've kicked the other user with access out by playing a different game. As a precaution, do the following steps in order and without fail to secure your device and account:-

2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

yeah but new devices and email login notifications come accurate to the minute. did 2,3,4,5,6 and everything there seems fine. no evidence at all. im installing malwere bytes rn but i kept my new pc very clean and didnt downoald any or at least tried not to do anything wierd. last time i got compromised i found a month late so i hope i solve this way earlier

If you've been compromised before and you didn't do the required steps to remove the scammer then it's possible you remained compromised the entire time without realising and were only made aware after they tried to play one of your other games. The steps above are the only way to effectively remove any unauthorised access.

If you've been compromised before and you didn't do the required steps to remove the scammer then it's possible you remained compromised the entire time without realising and were only made aware after they tried to play one of your other games. would they really wait 2 years? with no suspicious activity, no logins, reset windows, and a new pc? the only way i see it is getting hacked siince i propably forgot to log out of my old laptop. im scanning it rn and logget out already and unninstalled steam

i've done the scan on both malverebytes and windows defender and nothing came on my pc. if i see any other logins from other apps ill know its my pc but if its not the it has to be the laptop.

They don't need to login as they have continued access to your account once they get in. Deauthorising all other devices is the only way to remove them properly. Scammers can idle-sit on account sessions for years and only bother returning if there is an inventory to be had or the user has games they want to play. It's a possibility or you allowed yourself to be compromised again - potentially through a cloned session which is why it isn't showing up on your login history.

maybe cuz i recently bought prime and started playing cs. ive done all the steps before and it seems fine. ill pay more attention to my account activity in the upcomming days. i dont remember deauthorising before so i really hope this is it and i dont have to reset my pc again
