Can I buy Steam games from my current region using a debit card issued from a different country?

I have a basic question about buying games on Steam.

My Steam account is set to Malaysia (which uses a local currency/pricing). In the past, I was using a debit card issued in that country to buy games, and it worked fine.

Now, I want to use a debit card issued by a bank in a different country.

Will Steam accept a payment method from a country that doesn't match my current store region?

-Will the purchase fail?
-Will it force me to change my region (which I want to avoid)?

Any simple, up-to-date info on this is appreciated! Thanks.

To purchase games in your current region, you must use a local payment method, like a debit card or PayPal, with a billing address in that country.

Thanks for the clear answer. It sounds like the foreign card will not work because of the billing address rule.

Since I cannot use my card directly, what about Steam Wallet Gift Cards?

If I buy a Steam Wallet code:
-Can I redeem the code on my current account?
-Can I use the Wallet money to buy games without any region problems?

Using the Wallet seems like the best way to pay. Is this allowed?

You can only redeem Steam wallet cards that are the same currency as your account's currency.

You cannot use the redemption of wallet cards to change your account's region.
