Controller is bluetooth connected (show up under bluetooth devices) but not detected by Steam

The controller that i am using is Gamesir T4 Pro.
I am able to pair it as a "Pro Controller"(using Home+Y combo) under bluetooth devices, but Steam does not seem to detect it under Steam setting>controller.

I have no issue with pairing it as a "Xbox One Wireless Controller"(using Home+B).
Steam detected it and it is working.

Previously i was able to pair it as "Pro Controller" and was using it to game, but recently it stopped working. Not sure if it was due to Steam updates or my faulty controller.

Anyway i was using it as "Pro Controller" for the gyro, since that was the option with Steam Input.

Any helps or insights would be appreciated.

Its a Steam client issue. A Valve dev mentioned it would be fixed in the next beta update

The Steam client beta has since been updated so could join and see how things are:
Steam Settings > Interface, you'll see Client Beta Participation, select Steam Beta Update from the drop-down.

Another user worked around the issue by using JoyShockMapper, so a possible alternative if you don't wish to switch to the Steam beta/wait for main Steam to be updated

I tried the Beta, did not work out for me. No gyro for me in the mean time.
