Why would I lie about this and post it on a forum. Literally nothing to gain from doing that.

My email was breached and a bunch of random accounts were hacked including this one.

Again, why would I lie about this and post it on a forum asking for help on what to do.
The account that the gift was sent to was a random account with no community profile that was friended at a time I wasn’t awake. I also do not have the financial stability to purchase a $45 game atm. If I knew the gift recipient, I would have asked them to refund it but clearly this is not the case.

Do you want me to send attachments to the forum that has no attachments allowed to prove to people that aren’t involved in the refund process? I’m just asking for what I should do to fix this and so far more of the comments are just complaining without basis that its fake.

Follow steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
