Does steam really ban account for account sharing?
I just read some posts on reddit that sharing account is violated steam's rules that could lead to a ban, but does steam really ban people for that?
Some says that if I have multiple devices login in the account could trigger the ban, which I have a pc and a laptop, sometimes i just has my pc on all the time idle in steam and using my laptop when im traveling.
Some says steam use IP to detect account sharing. But im also traveling so my pc always has the same IP but my laptop is not.

So does steam really ban account for sharing? How do they detect that? Or is it just a myth?

Ban? No.

Terminate all associated accounts, yes. They don’t advertise the method of detection.

IP addresses are not involved.

Locked so no one is able to use them. For anything.

I'd be hard pressed to find one, but we've had people post about getting their accounts locked up because they were being shared.

I heard about people getting ban because of that. But does that not happen very often?
im just curious on how do they know that it is a shared account, like 20 30 people using the same account as the same time, than it does make sense, but 1 or 2 device connect at the same time does it really possible?
