New Steam Family Sharing
I used to share my library with my sister when we used to live under the same roof no problem with old Family Sharing, but how does it work now exactly? Will I be able to share it with her again now that she's living ~600 kilometers away but in the same country?

I've been reading contracting statements on the internet - some say that you essentially have to have the same currency in the store, some are saying that the new Family has same restrictions (same wifi network, have to log in with both accounts on the same machine).

I want to surprise her (she's a big Resident Evil nut) with newer titles she never got to play, otherwise I would've tested it directly myself. Appreciate it!

The new Steam Family system checks for two things at invite, that the person who gets invited has the same Steam Store region as the other family members and that they recently logged into Steam from the same location or very near then the one inviting them.
With your sister now 600 km away this could be a problem.

There is a workaround which is to log into the same PC with your Steam accounts right after each other and then sending out the Family invite.
It will now 100% work since your last login location was identical.
After your sister is in the Steam Family it does not matter from where she logs into Steam, even if its 600 km away as long as its the same country/store region.
Its just the initial invitation that is such a pain in the butt.

So you will have to find a way to get together when you visit her or vice versa or some other remote way to both login to the same PC to fulfill the invitation requirements.

Ah, I see. So the new system is fairly similar to the old one. Thanks!
