Unfortanetly, i do not use linux. As i said, check that link. It goes to the official steam linux forum. Someone there might be able to help you more.

Basically, steam uses a built in google chronium version as their web page interface. You can even see it on the steam deck if you have it. Not sure about this problem though. Sorry.

Steam is built on top of CEF (Chromium embedded Framework). It is, essentially, a Chromium browser.
