Just go buy a nice prebuilt from newegg. You could buy a $800 prebuilt that would run all those games. This month they have black friday sales going. You can get a prebuilt gaming PC for less than 1k for sure.

Decent reviews with 4 and a half eggs (stars)
* the sale price ends in 4 hours. But if you miss it don't worry they will have more sales this month and next month for the holidays.
You should also add the resolution you are playing right now and if you want to change it to 2k or 4k in the future?

Dont buy a prebuild if you dont have to. Build the PC yourself or ask/pay someone to do it. But it isnt hard to do it yourself.
Dont buy the most expensive/best hardware just becuase you can afford it.
Dont cheap out on the mainboard/PSU.
Just to be clear, I included the budget because I suspected that some would try to suggest a build that was decent for the lowest price possible. And I would've appreciated it, too, but regardless I still need a new PC so I figured I should get a new one that does everything I want it to do because anything short of that would be a waste of money. I would need to upgrade again sooner which would be even more expensive, and not worth it if I don't plan to get any more high-end games in the future.
Anyway, yeah, this upcoming Black Friday will probably be my best opportunity to get a PC regardless of whether it is pre-built or not. I am not above building one myself but I figured I would need all new parts, anyway. That, and the compatibility factor; I am still not completely clear on what makes the various parts like GPU and processor compatible with each other, and like I said in the OP, benchmarking individual components is not my specialty. I just think getting a pre-built PC would save on a lot of figuring out. Especially when my deadline is Blacl Friday.
Yeah I completely missed that when looking through the forums. anks for posting that. I will remember next time.
But if you don't know how to assemble it i'd just stick with pre-built. Also yes black friday there should be some great deals
